This task has been devoted to the assessment of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in terms of its acceptance, errors, and availability of information. The paper is aimed to define the term “meaningful use.” Besides, it will dwell upon the importance of the issues mentioned in the task. Apart from that, it is going to speculate on the impact which meaningful use could produce on the task force’s activities.
It is acknowledged that meaningful use is a term that is applied in the framework of health information technology. It determines regulations that have been established by the government to control the application of EMR. Hence, meaningful use allows administrating the possibility of sharing data between clinics, hospitals, doctors, insurance companies, and patients. The meaningful use is expected to fulfill the following functions: 1) upgrading characteristics, security, and effectiveness, 2) lessening any incompliance; 3) involving patients and their relatives; 4) upgrading care management, and communal health; and 5) preventing disclosure of any personal data to ensure its safety (Jones, Rudin, Perry, & Shekelle, 2014). The issues connected with meaningful use are important due to the novelty of the notion. When it comes to the impact which meaningful use might produce on the task force’s activities, it is possible to state that it is aimed to improve clinical and communal health results, entrain availability and effectiveness, and provide more possibilities of investigating patient’s health.
To sum it up, it is necessary to point out that the paper has defined the term “meaningful use.” Moreover, it has been concluded that any issues connected with meaningful use are crucial due to its novelty. Furthermore, the paper has underlined the impact which meaningful use could produce on the task force’s activities.
This task has been devoted to the application of informatics in healthcare. In this paper, I will dwell upon how informatics has affected my workplace environment. Besides, I am going to point out which biomedical equipment I have used. Finally, I will speculate how the use of this equipment has impacted healthcare.
To start with, I would like to state that informatics has had a significant positive effect on my workplace. It has facilitated the majority of day-to-day routine tasks and automatized all the paperwork. Therefore, it has rendered making records more pleasant. What is more, it has made it possible to get access to the patient’s information more easily. I have to admit that I cannot imagine how people used to work without all these technologies which have been introduced and are used in the healthcare system now. As for the biomedical equipment which I used, I am willing to share a great experience. Once I was allowed to use MRI to scan a patient’s brain. Unfortunately, I do not have enough skills to interpret the result. However, I assisted the doctor in this. Thus, when it comes to the role of biomedical equipment, it is necessary to assume that it has enabled more proper diagnostics and treatment. Using modern technology allows establishing a more precise diagnosis, as well as undertaking more thorough curing (Chaudhary, Singh, & Sharma, 2017).
To sum it up, I would like to point out that, in this paper, I have dwelt upon how informatics has affected my workplace environment. Besides, I have mentioned which biomedical equipment I have used. Finally, I have speculated how the use of this equipment has impacted healthcare.
