Internet Information on Sexually Transmitted Diseases Prevention

Introduction

The high prevalence of socially significant diseases, which include sexually transmitted diseases, is one of the leading medical and social problems of public health. The topic of STDs and their prevention in modern society is becoming more evident and, therefore, worth talking about.

Choosing the Topic

The choice of the topic is due to the fact that the society of the 21st century is more open to discussing issues related to sex, STDs, and their prevention. Risk groups are adults aged 20 to 30 who are active in the Internet space, work mainly with information of this format and trust it. Using various Internet sources to disseminate information on STD prevention is most effective in our realities. It will help prevent new disease cases and promote safe sex relationships more than monthly vocational training sessions.

Website for Presentation

The site of choice for the presentation that matches the theme and needs of the community in question is Primehealth Physicians. It is an alliance of primary care physicians who provide medical services to South Florida patients (PrimeHealth Physicians). Available at any time by connecting the patient’s account to the mobile application, this contact creates a more comfortable environment for teaching patients about STDs (Widman et al., 2017). It is proposed to place educational resources about diseases on the portal to which patients can contact and check the information. It is assumed that all information obtained when browsing Internet resources is confidential, which is impossible in consultations with professionals.

Conclusion

STD prevention among young people can be effectively carried out thanks to an Internet portal with certain materials. Since the site, in conjunction with the mobile application, provides a convenient, comfortable environment for patient education, this can increase the availability of high-quality information.
