What other questions should the nurse ask about the breast pain?

Other questions might include inquiring about the patient’s sexual life and asking whether the pain occurrence coincides with sexual acts. Also, the nurse should ask whether there were any prior cases of such pain experience.

Breast pain may be caused by hormone modifications (adolescence, menstruation, premenstrual period, and periods of pregnancy or menopause). Also, breast pain may be caused by some medicines. Finally, breast cancer or tumor may be a reason for breast pain (Breast pain, 2015).

A problems list from the objective and subjective data

Date of bilateral breast pain occurrence along with other cases connected with this state should be in the problem list.

What should be included in the plan of care?

Mammogram and change in diet should be incorporated into the plan of care.
