Nurse leaders should be well aware of how diverse issues can be responsible to complicate the quality of patient care and it keeps an impact on the outcome eventually. Nurse leaders should acquire the qualities of influencing the changes in law, policy and regulations that rules the system of health care industry where they are practicing. At times nurse leaders are expected to be more involved beyond their normal mode of practice and get involved in the world of politics as and when required.

At the federal and state levels, decisions of legislative bodies are playing a pivotal role to keep an impact on the health care industry.
