The Importance of Telehealth and Telemedicine

Introduction

It is important to note that telemedicine is needed for people from rural areas who do not have access to specialists and hospitals. However, the use of telemedicine raises several critical issues, such as privacy and reimbursement policies (Schlachta-Fairchild et al., 2010).

Discussion

Therefore, because of these concerns, people and rural areas often refuse the service provided by telemedicine. In addition, the most critical issue is that some procedures and physical examinations cannot be conducted by telemedicine. Consequently, people still need to visit hospitals and have to attend doctor’s examinations constantly (Schlachta-Fairchild et al., 2010). In order for clinicians to remain compliant with local and national practice regulations and reimbursement policies, the following actions should be undertaken. First, identify the legal regulations that apply to them and determine the Medicare billing template. Second, the necessary forms specific to different areas need to be completed and sent to service users.

Moreover, the role of the health care administrator is significant in establishing a system of quality and rapid access to services. This is because organizing staff management and adapting to internal and external conditions is important for the continuous provision of health care services. Simultaneously, the job of the administrator involves the management of financial operations. Thus, these workers must make an effort to conform to national and local standards (Schlachta-Fairchild et al., 2010). Accordingly, a quality job will enable them to provide health insurance to people and provide quick recovery of funds, which will facilitate the use of telemedicine services.

Conclusion

Furthermore, healthcare administrators are essential because they provide information services to patients and people who want to join telemedicine. Accordingly, they offer a high-quality communication configuration for prompt patient care.
