The researcher asks direct questions and records the responses to analyze the data later. Alternatively, the researcher can prepare questions and distribute them among different selected individuals. The questionnaires are then collected for analysis and comparisons (Creswell et al, 2009). The questionnaires and interviews are divided into distinct areas depending on the specific area of study. The questions are made simple for all participants to understand.

The qualitative and quantitative methods also make use of mathematical models to analyze data. The method demonstrates vast models of statistical calculations useful for the research. Data collection is effective in the analysis of the research problem. Most researchers involve research assistants to aid data collection. To understand the phenomena of the problem, intensive data collection, and analysis of the information are gained from research. The various methods of data collection are very useful in the research. The participants collect data by recording, writing short notes, or taking photos of the area study. The materials obtained are later used in the analysis of the research.

Some researchers employ the experimental approach. In this method, the research is conducted a thorough investigation and problem treatment as an intervention strategy of studying the selected group.
