Abstract
The purpose of this piece of paper is to investigate the various methods used to analyze qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and other qualitative methods. Additionally, it provides a solution to discrepancies affecting patients.
Procedures used by researchers to analyze their qualitative and quantitative method
Research can be defined as a systematic method of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting the data in order to deduce meaningful information from the data. Most often people confuse research with a process of gathering data and documenting the actual facts, which is not true in most cases (Bernard, 2002). To analyze data, a researcher uses various methods for example qualitative, mixed methods, and quantitative methods. To come up with meaningful information of research, the research needs to incorporate certain procedures that would help analyze the qualitative and quantitative research. The procedures and the methods used help the researcher have a comprehensive understanding of the ethnographic research and the various phonological methods that can be used. Additionally, the aid of the procedure in covering the ground theory or other similar qualitative data. Most researchers apply the following procedures to analyze their research (Creswell et al, 2009).
A researcher conducting individual research applies the direct observation method. In this method, the researcher observes the data directly from the field. The researcher then notes down the events happening in the field to help understand the phenomena better. This type of method, however, is not convenient for intensive research as it is subjected to limitations. The researcher may be biased due to their own interests, and in most cases, they may consider information that satisfies their personal feelings. The researcher selects the participants and concentrates on the research. The participant group is a sample that represents the entire population. The researcher then uses this sample to make an inferential deduction about the research.
Another method is the interview approach. The procedure involves conducting numerous interviews about the topic of study. This can be done by using direct interviews with the participant. The researcher asks direct questions and records the responses to analyze the data later. Alternatively, the researcher can prepare questions and distribute them among different selected individuals. The questionnaires are then collected for analysis and comparisons (Creswell et al, 2009). The questionnaires and interviews are divided into distinct areas depending on the specific area of study. The questions are made simple for all participants to understand.
The qualitative and quantitative methods also make use of mathematical models to analyze data. The method demonstrates vast models of statistical calculations useful for the research. Data collection is effective in the analysis of the research problem. Most researchers involve research assistants to aid data collection. To understand the phenomena of the problem, intensive data collection, and analysis of the information are gained from research. The various methods of data collection are very useful in the research. The participants collect data by recording, writing short notes, or taking photos of the area study. The materials obtained are later used in the analysis of the research.
Some researchers employ the experimental approach. In this method, the research is conducted a thorough investigation and problem treatment as an intervention strategy of studying the selected group. The various designs measure the outcome of the treatment. The experimental method involves a number of explanatory approaches. These approaches include pre-experimental, the true actual experiment, and the quasi-experiment. Additionally, causal procedures are as well intensively used. The method involves a close examination of the dependent variables that affect the independent variables and the causal relationship between them.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the discrepancies that affect the patients can be resolved by the forces, for example, environmental, cultural, political, and economic factors that have negative effects on the patient. To respond to these forces at the local, state, national, and global levels can best be addressed at the school level. There is a need to upgrade crucial changes to the education systems. This can be done by incorporating the various education systems into common integrated curriculum frameworks.
