Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) programs are known for their provision of care when it comes to health, especially to those who are neglected due to their geographical locations, financially unstable, or medically vulnerable. These people are patients with HIV/AIDS, expectant women, mums, and their families, and others who are not well financially to access quality health care services. The data.HRSA.gov website provides different information, maps, and census regarding various programs (About HRSA, n.d.). HRSA is also known for its help in the rural area by providing people access to health care services, training all medical practitioners, supplying health professionals to areas where they are in high need, and quality and improved delivery of healthcare services.
The fact sheets of the geographical area of Nevada and Florida and the comparison showed that the health center program of Florida had ten unique awardees and ten total awards while that of Nevada had five unique awardees and five total awards. Unique awardees and total awards of related programs in Nevada were 0, while those of Florida ranged between 1 and 4. Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP), unique awardees, and total awards were 5 and 7, respectively, while in Nevada were both 4. Nevada incorporated a school-based scholarship and loan program whose funding was $177,777 (FY2019-Clark, Nevada, 2019). On the other hand, Florida’s was $1,611,139. Florida’s maternal and child health unique awardees and total awards were 3 and 4, respectively as well as those of Florida. Rural health unique awardees of Nevada were one, while Florida had neither unique awardees nor total awards. Uniqueness awardees and total awards of the health care system of Florida were one each, while in Nevada was 0.
Comparisons between the nation’s primary health care/health centers in 2019 showed that the health center program had 1389 unique awardees and total awards while that of Nevada was five, respectively. RWHAP shows that the nation’s unique awardees and total awards were 548 and 827, respectively, while those of Nevada were four for both. Unique awardees and total awards of health professions training grants of the nation to support institutions were 595 and 1183 sequentially, while in Nevada, they were two and three. According to FY 2019-Nation (2019), the nation-appointed federal office of rural health policy (FORHP), whose unique awardees and total awards were 485 and 712, respectively, while in Nevada was one each. The health care system bureau supports programs that give grants whose unique awardees are 58 and total awards are 60, but Nevada had neither unique awardees nor total awards.
According to FY 2019- Miami-Dade, Florida (2019), the resources for HIV/AIDS IN Miami, Florida provided by the HRSA program are HIV and STI testing, and a Full STD screen. HIV testing options help people in my state and county to know their status and how long they have been exposed to the infection. STI testing, on the other hand, gives a full range of sexually transmitted infections and disease tests. Full STD screen provides people with knowledge and instant results for HIV and sexually transmitted infections. HRSA health center program ensures that primary care services in underserved areas are provided. For instance, in Miami, Florida, there are several clinics funded by the above program (FY 2019- Miami-Dade, Florida, 2019). These clinics are six in number, and they include Banyan community health center, Borinquen community health center, Camillus health concern, INC, Community AIDS resource, Jessie trice community health center, and Miami beach community health center.
