Introduction
Improving quality in nursing means conducting unceasing and all-embracing research. Indeed, maintaining proper service quality is one of the key steps in meeting the needs of patients in a way that leads to faster recovery and minimizes the threat of developing complications during a hospital stay. To adapt newly discovered approaches toward quality management to the setting of a local hospital, a thorough assessment of the target population, their needs, and significant public health issues is required. Therefore, introducing evidence-based research into the evidence-based practice (EBP) process should be considered a necessity, especially in light of the current coronavirus threat, to enhance public health.
Concepts
To approach the subject matter accordingly, several concepts must be examined first. Specifically, EBP deserves closer analysis as one of the foundational principles of nosing. Implying that the nursing strategy is defined not only by a specific theoretical premise but also by the unique characteristics of the patient and the target setting identified during the EBP process, the subject matter requires strong critical thinking and risk assessment skills.
Additionally, the phenomenon of EBR needs to be explored as a path toward enhancing the quality of nursing services. Implying that the study of the target environment should be grounded in data obtained directly from patients, the EBR approach holds significant implications for managing cases related to public health concerns (Hagle et al., 2020). Therefore, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, it is crucial to implement EBR-related tools and EBP techniques within the hospital setting.
Database Search
Several important observations were made during the search of the PubMed database. Specifically, using Boolean phrases is crucial for the rapid and accurate identification of relevant resources, as the experience in question has demonstrated. Namely, the search process yielded a rather impressive range of sources, most of which directly correlated with the research question and provided crucial insights.

EBP and QI Models
It is worth noting that two approaches to managing patient needs can be considered in the nursing context. Namely, apart from the EBP framework rooted in observations and analysis, the QI Model can also be applied to improve the quality of care. Generally, EBP models, such as the Iowa Model Revised and the Stetler Model of Research Utilization, focus on addressing specific nursing concerns. In turn, the QI models, such as Plan-Do-Study-Act and Total Quality Management, center on incremental improvement as a general concept.
Conclusion
Maintaining continuous quality improvement is one of nursing’s essential goals, which is why EBP and QI, as tools for monitoring changes and locating correlations between the alterations and the utilized strategies, must be considered closely. Integrating EBP—and QI-related tools into the nursing context can significantly improve patient outcomes. Encouraging nurse-patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration are tools that improve patient outcomes.
