Change Management in Nursing Through Project Planning

People react to change in various ways, meaning the leader should know to predict these responses. It is the fundamental issue in planning and implementing the project in practice successfully. A theory of change assists in recognizing the basic presumptions and hazards essential to comprehend and review at various stages of the process (Smith & Johnson, 2019). Its implementation allows for making sure the strategy will support the intended transformation. Therefore, the value of considering change theories in the continuation of the work on the project proposal is the opportunity to learn the potential responses in advance to avoid problems. The stakeholders and I can make certain assumptions about the project in advance. These assumptions typically address the objective information regarding the project. For instance, all parties suppose the tasks will be completed professionally and according to the pre-planned schedule (Pollock et al., 2018). The main idea is that the employees are qualified to cope with the duties and are motivated to work on this project. Even though the quality does not have to be perfect from the beginning, and there is the opportunity for insignificant shifts in the deadline, it does not affect the overall assumptions about protection.

Collaboration between many disciplines is a vital part of the project because it aims to improve psychiatric nurses’ competencies in supporting their psychological state and work-life balance. The results of the discussed project can be implemented in other hospital departments because the techniques used for finding the work-life balance are similar for all nurses. Before the project is implemented, it is critical to consider the universality of the advice given to nurses so that the results will be interdisciplinary.
