Caring Concepts, Leadership Styles, and Roles in Advanced Nursing Practices

Introduction

Caring is a critical concept in nursing as it increases the quality of care, promotes person-centered practices, and safe patient outcomes. Most nurses with democratic, transformational, and autocratic leadership styles care as they exercise acts of kindness. The most critical lessons I learned in the nursing course include caring concepts, leadership style in the field, and roles in advanced nursing practices, concerns, or issues in healthcare. As a master’s- prepared nurse, I have grand visions of using the information I learned in my future practice to create relationships and promote excellent outcomes.

Main body

Nursing offers individuals a reliable knowledge of care practices that physicians demonstrate in their behaviors and actions that portray caring. In my future nursing practices, I envision protecting and supporting patients through evidence-oriented interventions and establishing positive relationships to utilize caring information in this field. Moreover, I desire to use autocratic leadership styles to offer quick actions in emergency healthcare units and disaster management. As a transformational leader, I will use various techniques to mentor new nurses to implant commitment and teamwork qualities in their careers. Transformational leaders inspire workers to perform in their expertise excellently (Alloubani et al., 2019). The roles of advanced nursing practices or concerns such as certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) and clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) are significant in promoting patient outcomes. As a future CNM, I will endeavor to deliver quality care to service users in unique settings, consult with other nurses and administer evidence-based care to direct patients.

Understanding my strengths and career desires is the initial step that I will take to ensure success in my Master’s program. I will keep my notes and printouts in well-structured binders and set a specific place for studying free of distractions. I will also ask questions in areas where I have little knowledge in learning sites or contact my instructor to increase my skills and competency. Moreover, I will make it crucial to review my course materials on a daily habit.

Conclusion

In conclusion, nursing requires caring individuals who have exceptional leadership skills. I envision protecting and supporting service users by offering evidence-based care. I will execute autocratic qualities to provide quick services in emergency rooms and provide prompt responses in disasters. Some of the activities that I will undertake in the Master’s program include understanding my strengths, organizing my printouts, and asking questions in my incompetent areas.
