A Patient With Headache: Correct Diagnostics

There are specific questions that a nurse should ask a patient experiencing a headache while all other vitals show normalcy. It is essential to ask about the change in diet and the critical food allergies, home conditions, and medications that potentially cause side effects, stressful events, exercise, and consumption of alcohol and smoking (Sharma, 2018). The practices are significantly attributed to the pain that affects the welfare of an individual. In a different spectrum, it is essential for a doctor to inquire regarding specific medical history. The contests involve assessing the signs of the illness, a neurogenetic family condition, and any recent head surgery, either minor or major.

Family medical history is an essential factor during the diagnosis of a condition, such as a headache. For example, the 39-year-old patient suffers from a migraine despite stable vitals. In this case, it is crucial to evaluate any genetic conditions inherited from other relatives, mainly neurologic states. Therefore, the study of the pattern of illness among individuals of the same descent renders insight to doctors and nurses regarding the alienated situation (Sharma, 2018). It is important to attain information about the social past to establish the possibilities. An excellent example is addictive habits that highly affect metabolic and neurologic conditions, such as alcoholism and brain tumors that interrupt the personnel’s health index and the strain nervous system functioning. As a result, it is essential to establish the interaction pattern to ensure adaptive behavior within the community setting. The asymptomatic system involves the observation of gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and facial organs. Primarily, the review of the structure enshrines the determination of optimal functioning and establishing abnormality patterns.

In conclusion, the human body is a system whose functionality depends on the individual’s behavioral pattern. Different genetic ailment contributes to the emergence of particular conditions. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the entities to establish the integral value of effective treatment and recovery. Any shortcoming leading to misdiagnosis threatens the well-being of the patient hence the prominence of utilizing both medical and social history.
